Contractors: BIRD Construction
Project: Provide complete mechanical services for the
$37.6M construction of the new hospital located at the junction of Highway 3 and
14 between Morden and Winkler.
Derksen Group Involvement:

Scope: The Derksen Group was awarded the $6.5 contract by
BIRD Construction to provide complete mechanical services for the new hospital.
In addition to conforming with C2000 standards, the project involves a number
of unique challenges including a new steam plant, chilled water plant, medical
gas systems, sewage lift station, fire protection, water pumping station and
complete dialysis system using special R.O. equipment. Project completion is
expected in Fall 2003.
