Project: Renovate an 80 year old building into offices, class rooms and work shops. Also Added on two new buildings linked with over head walkways for the trades building in Brandon, Manitoba.

Scope: The Derksen Group was awarded this 2.3 million dollar contract by A. Akman & Son for the complete renovation of an 80 year old building. The project involved renovating offices, classrooms and workshops with new steam to water heating, chilled water cooling, air quality control and process piping for all equipment. This has become a complete trades training building with two new buildings added on linked with overhead walkways. Upon completion of this project, the building will teach the following trades; Piping, Welding, Carpentry, Machinist, Automotive, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Agriculture Machinist, Electrician, HVAC, Metal Fabrication, Refrigeration, Civil Technology, Communications. Project completion is expected in September of 2010.
